The Church of Scotland has a Code of Practice on Child Abuse.

Every volunteer working with children in the Church, before appointment, is made aware of the Church’s policy regarding the care and protection of children and must undertake to abide by the code of practice adopted by the Church. There are no exceptions and everyone involved in work with young people is treated in exactly the same way, thus ensuring that the staff know what to do if they are made aware of abuse by a child.

The Kirk Session has appointed Linda Francis as the Safeguarding Co-ordinator.
