Included this morning is a letter received from Rt Rev Dr. Shaw Paterson, Moderator of the General Assembly received on the anniversary of the ongoing conflict in Israel and Gaza. This includes “A prayer for peace” and Prayer points from the Church of Scotland ministers based in Jerusalem and Tiberias.  Pease take time to read its content using the link below :-

The CAMEO Group will meet in the Session Room at 7:30p.m..

The speaker is Wilma Davidson speaking about the work of The Street Pastors.  Please come along – you will be made most welcome.

 

WEDNESDAY 16th OCTOBER 2024 -

Our mid-week service Delve in at 12 takes place at 12 Noon.  This service will be led by Eleanor Hamilton, Probationer Minister.

The sixth of our AUTUMN BIBLE STUDY featuring “THE CHOSEN” starts this evening in the Session Room at 7:30p.m.  If you are interested in joining – please come along.  Everyone Welcome. 

 

FRIDAY, 18th OCTOBER 2024 - 

The SNACK BAR opens from 10:00a.m. until 1:00p.m..  Last orders 12:45p.m.

The NEARLY NEW opens today from 10:00a.m. to 12 Noon.  The Nearly New team look forward to welcoming you.

The ART CLASS continues its new session in the Upper Hall from 2:00p.m. – 4:00p.m..  All welcome.

TUESDAY, 22nd  OCTOBER, 2024 –

The In Stitches craft group meet in the session room from 10:00a.m. until 12 Noon.  If you are interested – please come along, you will be made most welcome.

The Senior Circle have their meeting in the Session Room today. Tea/coffee and a chat from 1.30p.m. -2:00p.m. The speaker today is Dennis O’Keefe, Voice of Experience.

FOODBANK DONATIONS -

Our collections for the foodbank continue – items urgently required for this week are the following – cereal, porridge, longlife milk and diluting juice

MONTHLY COFFEE MORNING

The Monthly Coffee Morning held on Saturday 5th October, 2024 raised the sum of £171.00.  Many thanks to all who helped in anyway to achieve this sum.

Thanks to all who donated, organized and delivered the Harvest Flowers.  Forty eight (48) generous bunches were much appreciated by the recipients.

HARVEST THANK OFFERING ENVELOPES - The special offerings at last Sunday’s harvest thanksgiving raised the sum of £770.00 for Tearfund (registered Scottish charity number SC037624) and thanks go to all who contributed.

MAGGIE’S CANCER CENTRE - AIRDRIE

The Kirk Session has agreed to support over the next few weeks, the sale of Christmas Cards for Maggie’s Cancer Centre in Airdrie.

The selection of Christmas Cards will be on sale from today, for the next few Sundays in the hall after the Service.  Your support would be appreciated.
