Your wedding is one of the most important events of your life, it should also be one of the happiest, and here at New Wellwynd we would love to share in that happiness by helping you prepare for your “big day”. Our Interim Moderator is more than happy to talk to you about our wedding service, and what it means to be married in the Church as well as the Christian understanding of marriage. We believe marriage is a gift from God and that a marriage ceremony is the setting for a deep and joyful relationship between a man and a woman.
Over the years we have conducted many wedding services at New Wellwynd church. It would give us both delight and pleasure to welcome you here for your special day. We can promise you a personal touch to the proceedings, which would involve the happy couple chatting with the Interim Moderator about their hopes and expectations for their wedding. We are confident that you will find New Wellwynd the ideal setting for your wedding.
Contacting the Interim Moderator, Murdo Macdonald, is an important first step in making the arrangements for your wedding. This should be done at the earliest opportunity. He will discuss the legalities of the ceremony and the various things that need to be done in order to make your special day a success. Murdo will also talk to you about what it means to bring two people together into a sacred covenant.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch using the contact form on the front page of this website. In the first instance, your enquiry will be sent to the Session Clerk, who will then pass to Rev. Murdo Macdonald who will contact you thereafter.
