Elders are asked to pick up their Family Meal Invitations from the Church Office for the next Sacrament of Holy Communion which will be held on Sunday 1st. June 2025 at 11:00a.m. as part of morning worship and at Delve in @ 12 on Wednesday 4th June 2025.

Our Locum, Les in now on holiday for the next few weeks.  For urgent pastoral matters, please contact David Walker in the first instance.

 

TUESDAY 6th MAY, 2025

The In Stitches Craft Group meet in the session room from 10:00a.m. until 12 Noon.  If you are interested – please come along, you will be made most welcome.

SENIOR CIRCLE - MONTHLY INFORMAL SUMMER GATHERINGS
Tuesdays - 1.30pm
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN - you are invited to come along to the first of our informal summer gatherings in New Wellwynd to keep in touch through the summer months.

We can gather in the Session Room as usual or, on warm days, take our seats outside to enjoy the fresh air and the lovely church gardens, remembering to bring sun hats or sunglasses. 

There will be tea, coffee biscuits etc. but, as it is around lunchtime you may wish to bring a sandwich etc. You may also wish to bring a friend. All will be made most welcome.   

The remainder of the summer gatherings will take place as follows – 3rd June, 8th July and 5th August.                                           Liz Riddell

Our mid-week service Delve in at 12 is today at 12 Noon and will be led by Rev. Margaret F. Currie, Minister at Airdrie: St. Columba’s.

Tea / Coffee will be available in the large hall following the service.

The Kirk Session meet at 7:00p.m. in the Sanctuary with Presbytery Representatives and the Kirk Session of St. Columba’s .

 

THURSDAY, 8th MAY, 2025

The Choir meet for rehearsal at 7:30p.m. in the Session Room.

 

FRIDAY, 9th MAY, 2025 - 

The SNACK BAR opens from 10:00a.m. until 1:00p.m..  Last orders 12:45p.m.

The NEARLY NEW is open from 10:00a.m. until 12 Noon.

Can you help ?  The NEARLY NEW TEAM are looking for donations of Kitchen Items and Bric-a-brac.

The ART CLUB meets in the Upper Hall from 2:00p.m. – 4:00p.m..  All welcome.

 

SUNDAY, 11th MAY, 2025 –

Morning Service will be held at 11:00a.m.  The service will be led by Alan Spence, Reader in the Church of Scotland.

At the close of morning service, there will be our Christian Aid Hunger Lunch - see separate notice.

FOODBANK DONATIONS -

Our collections for the foodbank continue – items urgently required for this week are the following - tinned soup, cup a soup and tinned spaghetti or tinned macaroni.

BREAD AND CHEESE HUNGER LUNCH FOR CHRISTIAN AID

SUNDAY, 11th MAY


This annual event will take place in the hall following Sunday worship.

So…. make this your lunch date - a little extra time to share with church friends and no worries about what to have for lunch that day.

Liz  is seeking volunteers for the following –

  • On Saturday 10th  - To set up tables and chairs in hall, put out place settings and decorate hall with Christian Aid posters, bunting etc.starting at 10:00a.m.
  • On Sunday 11th - To prepare rolls before service  from 09:30a.m.  &  help serve tea and coffee in the hall after service.

For any of the above, please give your name to Liz.

Any donations of butter, cheese, diluting juice will be gratefully accepted.
